Human Trafficking
One of the fastest growing criminal enterprises around the world is the Trafficking of persons for labor, and more often for sex slavery.
DirectConnect is working with various individuals who are working in areas of prevention of Trafficking by teaching vulnerable young people, primarily girls, ways of avoiding the traps of predators who would harm them.
This also includes life skills training to empower young people to have definite choices in life that will also enable them to be self-sufficient and less likely to become victims due to economic desperation.
We also provide support to individuals and organizations that are involved in the rescuing aspect of this problem, to help victims who are rescued to heal and start a new life.
