Dr. Johnson of Bronson Hospital host's Dr. Rogov in the Pathology Dept.

Dr. Johnson of Bronson Hospital hosts Dr. Rogov in the Pathology Dept. in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Dr. Yuri Rogov from Belarus was able to come to the United States to participate in our professional development program. Dr. Rogov, a leading pathologist, has the responsibility of training all pathologists in Belarus. We have sponsored Dr. Rogov in the years past to attend various seminars including the annual European Congress of Pathology, which is held in a different European city every year.

The net result of this partnership between Dr. Rogov and DCHA is that the skill level of the pathologists in Belarus has risen from the standard of the late 1950’s to today’s western standard. This is the assessment of Dr. Rogov who has worked in this profession for over 30 years in the former Soviet Union and now in present-day Belarus.

The Battle Creek Health Systems, currently Bronson of Battle Creek, has allowed Dr. Rogov to visit and spend time in the laboratory examining cases and slides to better understand the identification and proper diagnosis of tumors. They have also provided Dr. Rogov with books and training materials to take back to Belarus for his training and curriculum development.
